What you eat has a powerful impact on your health and eating plenty of fruits and vegetables is a great way to reduce cancer risk, other chronic diseases, and manage your weight. Healthy Plymouth’s nutrition mission is to “promote and sustain a community infrastructure that provides access to healthy, affordable foods and beverages for all who live and work in Plymouth through collaborative community initiatives.” In short, we want to “make the healthy choice the easy choice.” A few of the strategies in place supporting this mission include community-based nutrition education, the Healthy Market Program, and the Small Changes healthy dining initiative. Learn more about each of these programs as you explore this area. You’ll also find great recipes and important information about how you can create an eating style that will improve your health.
